After coming across a viral video of K-Love, Montu and her became

friends on social media. She made a post spring 2020 jokingly saying

that the next brother that tried to approach her would be required to

submit an essay.

Brilliantly funny and quick witted Montu inboxed asking her what

format she wanted the essay in MLA or APA…

The two chatted for a few days, but after realizing that Montu lived all

the way in Baltimore, K-Love withdrew, not seeing much hope in a

long-distance relationship.

The following year, February 16th 2021, K-Love lost her father.

While devastated in grief, one day, March 22nd to be exact

Her mother looked at her and said…

“God is gonna send your husband this year..”

K-Love, broken-hearted and now cynical about

love didn’t believe her mother’s words…

But her Mother doubled down on what she stated saying,

“God told me he’s sending your husband this year!

K-Love looked and rolled her eyes

Mrs. Tammy said

“If God doesn’t send your husband this year, you can slap me! “

The two laughed, but K-Love time stamped the promise her mom made,

just incase she really had to slap her at the end of the year…

Who knew 7 days later, March 29th,

Jamal would inbox K-Love again on social media just to send a word of condolences

about her father’s death, and from there the two would never go a day without talking.

May 10th He came to Chicago & They met in person for the first time.

May 11th the made their relationship official.

October 10th 2021 She relocated to Baltimore MD.

October 15th 2022 He proposed in Chicago

On April 19th 2024 her Dad’s birthday,

They will wed in Chicago.
